Durant (OK) four-star defensive lineman Xadavien Sims took the next step in his recruitment on Friday, releasing a top-10. The Texas A&M Aggies made the final grouping.

The 6-foot-4, 235 pounder is down to the following: Texas A&M, Oklahoma, Vanderbilt, TCU, Michigan State, Georgia Tech, Arkansas, Oregon, Miami, and Michigan.

Sims ranks as the No. 217 player in the On3 Industry Ranking, a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies. He also tabs in as the No. 23 defensive lineman and the No. 2 player in the state of Oklahoma.

He currently has an On3 NIL Valuation of $65K. The On3 NIL Valuation is the industry’s leading index that sets high school and college athletes’ projected annual value (PAV). The NIL valuation does not act as a tracker of the value of NIL deals an athlete has completed to date. It rather signifies an athlete’s value at a certain moment in time.

Sims discusses his finalists…

“Oklahoma has been a top school for me for a while. Me and coach Bates have a great relationship beyond football, and coach Venables is one of the best head coaches in the game.”

“Vanderbilt really surprised me when I got on campus. I really liked everything they had to offer me and the d line coach instantly clicked.”

“My uncle played at TCU so it’s always been a big school for me. Coach McFarland is one of my favorite coaches and I could see myself playing for him.”

“Michigan State started recruiting me early on in my recruitment, and has been consistently pushing to get mE. I love everything about East Lansing and the new D-line coach.”

“Georgia Tech is a great school for me. Me and coach Coleman have had a great relationship since he was at Michigan State and he has just been recruiting me hard since he went to Georgia Tech.”

“Arkansas was my very first offer and it still means a lot. Coach Pitman was the very first coach to believe I could play for them at the next level.”

“Oregon is a place I could see myself developing the best and getting coached by a great man and coach Touiti. He stays in touch with me a lot and I’ll be on campus in the 22nd.

“Miami is a school I’m really interested in. I’m looking forward to getting on campus soon and really seeing what they’re about they seem to have a bright future ahead”

“Texas A&M was the first school I think had interest in. Me coach Price was the first d line coach I had ever talked to. I’ve been on campus multiple times and I’ve loved it every time.”

“Michigan is a school I really really like. They consistently win and coach Elston is great at developing d linemen and I think I fit their scheme very well.”
