Four-star IOL Harris Sewell sets Texas A&M official visit
2023 Odessa (Tex.) Permian four-star interior offensive lineman Harris Sewell has set his Texas A&M official visit and will be on campus June 10-12th, the four-star tells Aggie Scoop.
Sewell’s return trip will be his third visit to College Station this calendar year, as the four-star previously stopped through in late January, returned in April and is now set to make his third visit, this time his official visit, to Aggieland on June 10th. In the fall, the top-100 prospect was one of several key targets in attendance to watch the Aggies upset Alabama at Kyle Field.
The June 10-12th weekend is shaping up to be a big one for Texas A&M offensive line recruiting, as Sewell will join Harker Heights (Tex.) High four-star interior offensive lineman Jaydon Chatman and Ferndale (Wash.) High three-star interior offensive lineman Landen Hatchett as offensive line prospects taking official visits to College Station that weekend.
Sewell, who was a unanimous district 2-6A first-team all-district selection in 2021, holds 23 offers to date, but is down to five schools: Texas A&M, Texas, Clemson, Alabama and Oklahoma.
Sewell visited Clemson and Oklahoma last month and returned to Texas in late March. He already has an official visit set to Clemson June 3-5.
The Longhorns appear to be the biggest competitor in Sewell’s recruitment as Kyle Flood has made the top interior offensive line prospect in the state a priority.
“The atmosphere has really changed,” Sewell told Inside Texas after visiting Texas back in March. “I just feel like it’s a winning atmosphere now. I think it just took a little bit for everything to get settled in.”

Texas leads in Sewell’s recruitment per the On3 Recruiting Prediction Machine, which gives the Longhorns a 32% chance to land the 6-foot-4, 302 pounder. The Aggies are right on the Longhorns’ tail, with a 28% chance to land Sewell’s commitment. The Aggies will have a chance to make a serious impression, and potentially make a move on Texas, when the four-star gets on campus for his official visit next month.
RPM was released to the public in December. The On3 engineering group teamed up with Spiny.ai to create the industry’s first algorithm and machine learning-based product to predict where athletes will attend college.
It factors in machine learning, expert predictions, social sentiment, visits, and historical trends. However, expert predictions are still a big piece of the RPM equation. There are no expert picks in at this moment.
Texas A&M currently holds five commits to date in the 2023 class, including one offensive lineman in Spring Branch (Tex.) Smithson Valley three-star Colton Thomasson, who has been peer recruiting Sewell to join him in College Station and will likely be in town to play host to the four-star the weekend of Sewell’s official visit.
Sewell ranks as the No. 72 prospect and No. 4 interior offensive lineman in the country per the On3 Consensus, a complete and equally weighted industry-generated average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies. The four-star has an On3 NIL Valuation of $136K. The On3 NIL Valuation is an index that looks to set the standard market value for both high school and college-level athletes. The NIL valuation does not act as a tracker of the value of NIL deals an athlete has completed to date. It rather signifies an athlete’s value at a certain moment in time.
