Gavin Grahovac injury update: Terrible news emerges on Texas A&M third baseman

Top-ranked Texas A&M will be without one of its key stars for the rest of the 2025 season, with third baseman Gavin Grahovac sidelined by a shoulder injury.
Ryan Brauniger of TexAgs.com reported the news, noting the following.
“Grahovac had been fighting through it the first 2 weeks, but it got to a point that was untenable,” Brauniger wrote on Twitter.
Following Texas A&M’s coaching change last offseason — head coach Jim Schlossnagle departed for the Texas job — Gavin Grahovac briefly entered his name in to the NCAA transfer portal. He would later withdraw, opting to return to play for the Aggies once Michael Earley was named the head coach.
Grahovac posted on Instagram: “Staying where I belong…the show must go on #gigem.”
He was expected to be a key part of the lineup for Texas A&M, which entered the year as the No. 1 ranked team in the country. That will obviously no longer happen.

Grahovac was a big part of the reason Texas A&M made it all the way to the College World Series finals in 2024. During his freshman season in 2024, he hit .298 with 16 doubles, 23 home runs and 66 RBIs.
The California native was the Preseason SEC Freshman of the Year and he lived up to the hype.
Gavin Grahovac was the leadoff hitter for Texas A&M while splitting time between third base and outfield. He helped Texas A&M to a 53-15 record during the 2024 season.
Prior to signing with the Aggies, Grahovac was ranked as the No. 55 overall player in the country in his class, according to Perfect Game. He was named the California State Player of the Year in both 2022 and 2023. He was also a 2023 High School All-America first team selection by Collegiate Baseball Newspaper.
