Things were personal for Ole Miss head coach Lane Kiffin against Texas A&M on Saturday night. And not all of his frustration or emotions were thrown at Jimbo Fisher while at Kyle Field either. Kiffin even got into it with Aggies safety Bryce Anderson, having an on-the-field interaction.

Fisher was asked about the incident during his Monday press conference, not wanting to make a comment. He said people from the SEC can handle it how they please, saying it’s not his place to get involved.

“I’m not going to get into all of that,” Fisher said. “The league and everybody else can handle how they want to handle that.”

As Fisher began to possibly expand his thoughts, he was able to stop himself by saying “nevermind, I’ll be quiet” before moving on to the next question.

Kiffin was seemingly upset with Texas A&M going down with some injuries while Ole Miss was moving the ball downfield. Anderson was on the end of some of the frustration after the Rebels had gotten into the end zone. While the officials were reviewing the play, Kiffin went over and talked to Anderson.

No comment has been made from the SEC on the incident, as most of it is internet speculation. Fisher was able to restrain himself from making comments this time after not doing so over the summer. Kiffin most likely does not need any more ammo in what could be a budding rivalry between the two head coaches.

Things got a bit heated during Saturday’s game between No. 15 Ole Miss and Texas A&M, and Rebels head coach Lane Kiffin found himself right in the center of it.

Kiffin seemingly grew frustrated with the plethora of injuries on the field from Texas A&M players, and a video surfaced showing potential comments from Kiffin directed at an Aggies player. There was no audio on Kiffin at the time, so making out exactly what was said is difficult. But regardless, Kiffin directed some sort of comment toward Texas A&M defender Bryce Anderson.

Kiffin was asked about the moment after the game, and he attributed the incidents to simply having some fun with the players from the opposing team.

“I was just having fun with them,” Kiffin said in his postgame press conference. “Those kids are highly energetic like a lot of five-stars. Kind of fun to mess with. So it was all good.”
