Jimbo Fisher confirms Texas A&M OL Jordan Spasojevic-Moko 'suspended' following early October arrest

Texas A&M coach Jimbo Fisher confirmed Wednesday that offensive lineman Jordan Spasojevic-Moko is currently suspended from the team.

Spasojevic-Moko was arrested in early October and charged with violating a protective order that was put in place by a Brazos County judge.

“Moko is not with us,” Fisher said Wednesday on an SEC teleconference call. “He’s suspended right now.”

According to arrest reports obtained by KBTX, Spasojevic-Moko entered a bar where the woman with the protective order was at and stayed despite the order. The woman told police that Spasojevic-Moko taunted her by sticking his tongue out at her.

The Texas A&M offensive lineman was arrested.

He reportedly violated the protective order again by calling the woman repeatedly from inside the jail, attempting to get her to drop the charges. Spasojevic-Moko was released on $50,000 bond.

Jordan Spasojevic-Moko had not started a game this season for the Aggies.

Jimbo Fisher provides an injury update

Texas A&M is coming off two tough defeats against Alabama and Tennessee, falling to 4-3 overall under Fisher. Part of the problem has been staying healthy, especially on the defensive end. Multiple Aggie stars have gone down and missed time due to health issues.

An update on four names — Bryce Anderson, Edgerrin Cooper, Walter Nolen, and Albert Regis — recently came from Fisher. Texas A&M has an off week upcoming but all four are progressing well. Everything was positive from Fisher, something the program desperately needs.

“Bryce was back in practice yesterday,” Fisher said during Wednesday’s SEC Coaches Teleconference. “Walter is getting over an injury, I think definitely well. Coop is the same way. Albert is coming back, yes. He’s working his way back in.”

While Texas A&M will not have a game Saturday, a home game against South Carolina is next on the schedule. Yes, progress is being made by the four defensive studs but Fisher was not able to provide exact timelines for them. As of right now, he expects them to play vs. the Gamecocks but things can change.

“I can’t give an exact date on all of them. But to answer your question, I do,” Fisher said about those players potentially being back for South Carolina. “Things can change day by day, doctor to doctor, you know what I’m saying? With what happens and if they keep progressing. They seem to be right now.”
