Jimbo Fisher says win over LSU would be 'huge' for Texas A&M
Texas A&M will play their final game of the season at home on Saturday against LSU. And although the Aggies failed to qualify for this year’s bowl season, this game is still a huge one. head coach Jimbo Fisher understands the importance of this game and recently explained why a win over LSU would be ‘huge’ for Texas A&M.
“I think it’s huge. Again, with the future and what you have here, which we believe is extremely bright; where we’re going and what we’re doing with these guys, playing together and being together,” said Fisher. “I think for the seniors, it’s a great sendoff and the last time they walk into that stadium. And another lesson on perseverance, not letting circumstances dictate who you are and what you are. But how you deal with them and preserve through. I think it would be great for those seniors and a great message for these young players heading into the offseason.”
With this being the last game of the season and at the Aggies’ home field at Kyle stadium, it’ll be the last opportunity for their seniors to dawn the maroon and white. And if they can end that game with a victory, it’ll definitely be something those seniors will never forget. Even more so, the Aggies will enter into their offseason knowing that they knocked off the sixth-ranked team in the country. And that could do wonders for the players staying on the roster for next season.

Fisher reveals how challenging 2022 season has been
Fisher and the Aggies have had a rough 2022 season, to put it lightly. This season has been arguably one of the rougher ones in recent Aggies history and for Fisher. 2022 has been riddled with numerous amount of challenges for the program. And Fisher has dealt with the challenges by keeping his emotions out of it and not allowing his circumstances this season to define who he is.
“Emotions you keep out of it. I mean, you’re disappointed you’re trying to figure out ways to find answers,” said Fisher. “Anytime you’re not where you want to be; you’re constantly looking, pushing, challenging, evaluating, changing, and thinking. But it’s a part of life. If something goes bad in life, something can go bad in anything. It’s no different from that perspective.
