Le'Veon Moss injury update: Mike Elko reveals promising update on Texas A&M RB

Texas A&M lost one of the SEC’s best rushers early in Saturday’s game against South Carolina, with Le’Veon Moss going down with a knee injury. He did come back to the sideline but was dressed in street clothes, indicating he was done for the evening.
Questions immediately popped up about Moss’ long-term future as the Aggies are still in contention. Head coach Mike Elko provided an update following the game, saying the injury is not as bad as initially thought on the field. Definitely good news for Texas A&M but nothing official has come from the program quite yet.
“It doesn’t look as bad as it did on the field,” Elko said via TexAgs on X.
Moss finished the night against South Carolina with just two carries, going for eight yards. His injury came when making a reception down the sideline, going for 20 yards on his lone catch. Not having Moss on the field certainly was felt as Texas A&M averaged just 3.4 yards per carry.
Amari Daniels wound be being the leading rusher with 83 yards and a touchdown on 13 touches. Quarterback Marcel Reed was with 46 yards although, he was sacked on three different occasions.

If there is any good news about the injury situation, it’s that Texas A&M is set to have a bye week following the loss. And then a nonconference game appears on the schedule against New Mexico State, a game many will expect the Aggies to win no matter who is out on the field.
Moss could have as many as three full weeks to recover and get back on the field. A road trip to Auburn and the highly-anticipated return of the Texas rivalry will close out the regular season. The Aggies will certainly be hoping for postseason games too.
