Le'Veon Moss injury update: Mike Elko reveals Texas A&M RB status for second half
Texas A&M running back Le’Veon Moss is out for the remainder of the second half against South Carolina, coach Mike Elko revealed at halftime. Moss left the game early in the first quarter after suffering a hard hit resulting in a right leg injury and was carted back to the locker room.
Moss has been the premier player offensively for the Aggies this season as they sit atop the SEC standings as the only undefeated team in conference play. He has totaled 757 yards rushing and 10 touchdowns along with nine catches for 121 yards.
Moss suffered a hit to his lower body and needed help to make his way off the field. Amari Daniels and EJ Smith are the other two running backs next up on the depth chart.
Prior to his exit Saturday, Moss had just two carries for eight yards. The Aggies have averaged 3,9 yards per carry on the ground overall against the Gamecocks.

With Moss sidelined Texas A&M would go on to lose the game by a score of 44-20. We’ll see what his status is for next week when the Aggies look to bounce back in two weeks against New Mexico State.
Mike Elko gives further update on Le’Veon Moss injury postgame
Moss did come back to the sideline but was dressed in street clothes, indicating he was done for the evening.
Questions immediately popped up about Moss’ long-term future as the Aggies are still in contention. Head coach Mike Elko provided an update following the game, saying the injury is not as bad as initially thought on the field. Definitely good news for Texas A&M but nothing official has come from the program quite yet.
“It doesn’t look as bad as it did on the field,” Elko said via TexAgs on X.
