Le'Veon Moss on Missouri: 'They thought they was coming to get a piece of cake'

There was a lot of trash talk leading up to Saturday’s game between Texas A&M and Missouri, and Le’Veon Moss didn’t take it lightly. It was the Aggies running back who would ultimately get the last word as his team cruised to a 41-10 victory against the Tigers at Kyle Field.
Moss ran all over the Mizzou defense, totaling 138 yards rushing and three touchdowns on a mere 12 carries. Speaking to the media postgame, he had a strong answer when asked whether he thought A&M had shocked the Tigers.
“Most definitely,” Moss said as he laughed. “They thought they was coming to get a piece of cake.”
It was the Aggies who seemed to stoke the flames prior to the game, as Mizzou receiver Theo Wease posted on social media about a blanket he supposedly received from A&M cornerback Will Lee. Lee, whose nickname is “The Blanket,” wrote a letter that read “Get used to this blanket. It will be real tomorrow.”
Wease was seen wearing the blanket in pregame. However, Aggies coach Mike Elko said after the game that he didn’t believe Lee or anyone from A&M to be involved in sending the blanket, suggesting Missouri did it themselves.

Regardless, that wasn’t the only trash talk that went on leading up to the game. Tigers quarterback Brady Cook said earlier in the week that the practice noise would be louder than the crowd at Kyle Field, something Moss took to heart.
“What I took personally was them saying their practice would be louder than our stadium,” the running back said. “I took that personally because our 12th Man supports us to the very end no matter what.”
That certainly proved true Saturday, as Cook managed only one touchdown and completed less than 50% of his passes. The Aggies (5-1, 3-0) will look to use this statement victory to propel them going forward, as they have a bye next week before heading to Mississippi State.
