Report: Multiple Texas A&M freshman suspended indefinitely by Jimbo Fisher
Texas A&M head coach Jimbo Fisher has suspended at least three true freshman indefinitely, TexAgs’ Billy Liucci reported. The names of the Aggies players have not been confirmed as of Monday night.

After the initial report, Liucci gave another update that added even more questions to what might have gone down to have multiple underclassmen.
“Got zero problem with the disciplinary action from Fisher. Probably should have seen it sooner in a couple of instances, to be honest,” he wrote.
This is just another domino that has fallen for the Aggies this season. After major preseason expectations turned Texas A&M below .500 SEC West team, many have criticized Fisher for the poor start and this is just another stain on their below average first half of the 2022 season.
Jimbo Fisher shares message to younger players amid struggles
After Texas A&M dropped its third straight game this past week to South Carolina, coach Jimbo Fisher is encouraging his players not to lose hope. The 3-4 start to the season has resulted in plenty of criticism for Fisher and the Aggies, but he still believes a turnaround is possible.

In his Monday press conference, he explained how he is trying to get his younger players to think the same way and limit potential transfers.
“Here’s what you tell ’em: Everything you do is put on film,” Fisher said. “I always say you’re playing for your life. You are. Because every play you play, somebody’s evaluating. The pros, the guys, your teammates, everything. Just play. Have faith in what you’ve gotta do. As crazy as it sounds because our guys, the way they’re playing hard and things, they see and we show it on film. It’s right here. If we do this, this and this, it’s right here. Whether it’s offense or defense, they see. We don’t make ’em, but they understand how and we’re trying to educate and teach.”
There is perhaps some credence in Jimbo Fisher’s message to his players, as A&M has lost three of its four games this season by six points or less. However, with the context that the Aggies started off the year at No. 6 in the AP poll and that one of those losses was to Appalachian State, it’s still incredibly disappointing.
Adding to the concern are A&M’s offensive struggles as it ranks last in the SEC in points per game and 13th in total offense. The Aggies have dealt with injuries to quarterbacks Haynes King and Max Johnson this year, but Fisher admitted the coaching staff has to do a better job of putting the team in position to win as well.
