Murray State upsets No. 24 Texas A&M in Myrtle Beach Invitational quarterfinal
The November upsets continue. Murray State upset No. 24 Texas A&M 88-79 in the Myrtle Beach Invitational’s opening matchup, handing the Aggies their first loss of the 2022 season. The Aggies trailed the Racers for the entirety of the contest.
Murray State led by as many as 15 points in the second half. That can be chalked up to the awful shooting numbers Texas A&M produced, shooting 38 percent on 27-of-71 shooting and 6-of-27 from deep.
The win marks the first AP Top 25 win for the Racers in a decade, adding to yet another upset to a November slate filled with upsets.

Texas A&M guard Tyrece Radford led the Aggies with 19 points, six rebounds and five assists. Three other Aggies – Wade Taylor IV (16), Manny Obaseki (12) and Julius Marble (11) – scored in double figured as well.
