Noah Thomas recalls adversity he faced through injuries
The Texas A&M Aggies are heading back for Fall Camp. With that, wide receiver Noah Thomas is looking to build on the adversity he’s gone through and potentially have a breakout season.
Thomas had to play through injuries in 2023 and, while he’s healthy now, those helped him go through the adversity he can grow from.
“It was tough but everyone’s a little banged up during the season,” Noah Thomas said. “I had a different scenario, but, yeah, it was tough. I got to go through some adversity. One once in a while.”
Noah Thomas got knocked out of Texas A&M’s 2023 game against Louisiana-Monroe, which forced him to miss some time with a lower-body injury. Despite that, he was able to play in 11 games while battling through being banged up.
In the end, he finished the 2023 season with 29 receptions for 359 yards and five touchdowns. His most productive game came in the opener against New Mexico with six receptions for 74 yards and three touchdowns.

“It was a little battle that I had to get through, but I’m good now,” Thomas said. “I feel great. I’m back to my speed. I’m back to my strengths. So, I feel better than ever.”
Now, Noah Thomas is looking to take a step forward and become a premier wide receiver for the Aggies while staying healthy. That’s something that his head coach, Mike Elko, believes he’s more than capable of doing this season.
“Yeah. I think he has tremendous size [and] a very large catch radius. I think he’s gotten healthy; he had some offseason stuff that he was dealing with towards the end of the year last year,” Elko said. “He’s getting healthier. He got healthier as spring went on. I think it’s going to be really important for him to have a really strong summer. If he can develop some strength and get his body where it could possibly be; yeah, I think he has all the makings of being a guy that we can use as a top target.”
Another key for Texas A&M’s passing attack and Noah Thomas’ success in 2024 is going to come down to the health of quarterback Conner Weigman. He’s back after missing a large part of 2023 with his own injury. Now, he’s poised to break out and help the Aggies have a strong first season under Mike Elko, but the entire offense will need to stay healthy.
