Quenton Jackson had quite a career with Texas A&M over the last three years. But his college career is over, and he said goodbye to Aggie fans on Friday.

Jackson arrived at Texas A&M after playing two years at the College of Central Florida at the junior college level. In his three years with the Aggies, he improved every year, including career-high 14.8 points, 3.5 rebounds and 1.8 steals per game in 2021-22.

Now, he has to say goodbye to Aggie Nation. He wrote a heartfelt note on Twitter after Texas A&M’s NIT Championship loss to Xavier ended the season.

“My journey at A&M has come to an end,” Jackson wrote. “So many memories, so many stories. I hope I have provided you with as many memorable moments as I have been provided in these past 3 years. Thank you for embracing the kid from Cali. It’s been an unimaginable season. A season of rollercoaster rides. No matter the twists and turns, we held on and fought to the end.

“My ‘unfinished’ business is now complete and it is time for me to move on to the next phase of my life. I am forever grateful. Thanks Ags and Gigem.”

Jackson had quite a game against Xavier to get Texas A&M so close to an NIT title. He scored 23 points and grabbed six rebounds, but it wasn’t enough as the Aggies fell to the Musketeers 73-72. He also hit some key free throws to put Texas A&M back out in front before Jack Nunge hit the eventual game-winning shot for Xavier.

Texas A&M finished the year 27-13 overall, including a 9-9 mark in SEC play. It was quite a turnaround considering the Aggies won just eight games in 2020-21. They were a No. 1 seed in the NIT, making them one of the last teams out of the NCAA Tournament field.
