Report: Texas A&M hosting Mississippi State transfer TE Ryland Goede on a visit
Former Mississippi State and Georgia tight end Ryland Goede is set to visit a third different SEC school after entering the transfer portal this offseason. According to GigEm247, that school is Texas A&M.
Here was their report of the veteran TE checking out College Station: “Mississippi State transfer TE Ryland Goede set to visit Texas A&M this weekend.”
Goede spent three seasons with the Bulldogs and picked up two national championship rings while sitting behind guys like Darnell Washington and Brock Bowers. Surely, those were enjoyable years, but with playing time sparse, a move to Mississippi State made sense. But one year into that experiment and Goede caught just one pass for 18 yards, then transferred in the wake of head coach Zach Arnett’s firing. Now, a third SEC stop could be in the cards.
Before his time in Athens, Goede played high school football at Kennesaw Mountain in Acworth, Ga, where he was a four-star recruit in the 2020 class, according to the On3 Industry Rankings. He was also rated the No. 214 overall prospect and the No. 9 tight end in his cycle.
