Fort Lauderdale (Fla.) Stranahan wide receiver Hykeem Williams will make his commitment in a little more than a month.

The five-star, who checks in at No. 22 in the On3 Consensus, announced Tuesday that he is down to six schools and will commit on September 23. Among the finalists are: Alabama, Florida, Georgia, Miami, Pittsburgh and Texas A&M.

The 6-foot-2, 215-pounder took official visits in June to both Pittsburg and Georgia, but also made return visits to both Texas A&M and Florida State over the past few months. According to On3 Director of Recruiting Chad Simmons, it’s the Seminoles and Aggies battling it out at the top for the nation’s No. 3 wideout.

“I view the Aggies as the frontrunner for Hykeem, one of the top playmakers in South Florida,” Simmons said on Wednesday. “You can’t rule out Georgia, you can’t rule out Pittsburgh. But I think Florida State is the school to watch outside of Texas A&M.

… He was in Tallahassee for a multi-day visit late in July. He did the same thing spend multiple days in College Station in June. I think it comes down to those two schools; either the school Jimbo Fisher used to coach at or the one he’s currently at. I like Texas A&M right now for Hykeem Williams.”

Hykeem Williams Scouting Summary

“Physically-developed receiver with plus body control and burst. Possesses the balance and agility to make defenders miss in the open field as well as the juice to get upfield and pull through arm tackles after the catch. Has a big frame that carries his weight with ease. Measured 6-foot-2.5, 193 pounds with a 6-foot-4.5 wing-span as a junior. Shows vertical ability on 50-50 balls and on the hardwood as a basketball player.

… Averaged a double-double in points (12.2) and rebounds (10.3) on the basketball court as a junior. Totaled 31 receptions for 693 yards and 6 touchdowns his junior season. Will develop a more diverse route tree as he transitions to the college game. Has all the physical tools to potentially turn into a dominant X-type receiver at the next level. On the older end among prospects in the 2023 cycle, turning 18 during his junior season.” — Charles Power, On3 Director of Scouting and Rankings
