WATCH: Texas A&M storms the field after season-ending win over LSU
Texas A&M‘s fans stormed the field in celebration after a career night from Devon Achane in their win over LSU to end the season. The Aggies played spoiler for the Tigers’ chances to reach the College Football Playoff ahead of their SEC Championship Game matchup with Georgia — handing LSU their third loss of the season.
After the win, the tremendous crowd at Kyle Field stormed the field to celebrate — capping off a somewhat disappointing season with an amazing night for the fans and team.

The win was more than just a great performance for coach Jimbo Fisher after his first losing season in five years as the head of the Aggies — it was a career night for Achane. The star running back carried the load all night long for Texas A&M, rushing for 215 yards and two touchdowns.
After the game, Fisher praised Achane as the “ultimate team guy” while saying his team never gave up on the season despite not having a championship to play for.

“Devon is the ultimate character, the ultimate team guy,” said Fisher. “All of our kids on our team are but Devon is special. Everyone on the outside said ‘what do we got to play for?’ The kids inside were together the whole time.”

Fisher also spoke highly of the character his team had throughout the game, admitting it’s been a tough go in College Station. Even so, he is proud of how Texas A&M pulled through and is happy to send the seniors off in winning fashion.
“Listen, we haven’t gotten the results we wanted,” Fisher said. “But I always say adversity reveals your character. And no matter what, we practiced hard every day, we came to play every day. A lot of character. Happy for those seniors to take them out right and for the future of what we can do and we can get the results we want. A lot of character in these kids.”
