Texas A&M forward Henry Coleman leaves game vs Florida with apparent ankle injury
Texas A&M forward Henry Coleman appeared to walk toward the locker room in the second half of Wednesday’s game against Florida with an apparent ankle injury. Coleman went to the floor while playing defense, favoring his left leg.
Coleman walked slowly under his own power to the locker room after the play, which saw the Aggies force a Florida shot clock violation, upon replay review. He’s a key piece of the Texas A&M offense this year, entering play Wednesday averaging 11 points per game. His biggest game of the season came Dec. 27 against Northwestern State as the Aggies cruised to victory in their penultimate non-conference game.
Wednesday marked Texas A&M’s first conference game of the season, and it got started later than expected after the team left its uniforms at the hotel. However, the Aggies took a 34-23 lead into halftime and continued to hold a sizable lead over the Gators in the second half.

Texas A&M left its uniforms at the team hotel, meaning someone had to go back to the hotel to get them. That means tip-off will be delayed, and it was the subject of plenty of jokes before the broadcast got started on ESPNU.
“We’re not quite sure how long this delay is going to be,” Tom Hart said during the open. “What we do know is they ruled out playing shirts and skins, so we wait.”
The Aggies ultimately got back to the arena seven minutes after tip-off was supposed to occur. But upon their return, they received an administrative technical foul because of the delay.
