With the addition of Seattle O’Dea four-star interior offensive lineman Isendre Ahfua, Texas A&M has shot up three spots to No. 9 in the On3 Industry Team Recruiting Rankings. The Aggies jumped Oregon, Clemson and Penn State.

Ahfua chose A&M over Miami and Utah, bolstering Jimbo Fisher’s class that now contains four offensive linemen. Ahfua is the second highest-ranked recruit in the OL room and is joined by Beaumont (Texas) four-star offensive tackle Weston Davis, the No. 101 overall prospect in the cycle. They’re flanked by Katy (Texas) Tompkins four-star IOL Ashton Funk and Katy (Texas) four-star IOL Coen Echols.

The 6-foot-4, 285-pounder followed up an official visit in June with an unofficial trip to College Station at the end of July. He didn’t make another trip before choosing the Aggies.

Ahfua is the No. 117 overall prospect, No. 5 IOL and No. 1 player from Washington in the 2024 cycle, according to the On3 Industry Ranking, a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies.

Aggies chasing SEC compatriots in rankings

A&M’s class now has an average recruit rating of 90.72, the third-highest mark in the SEC, behind only Georgia and Alabama. The Bulldogs and Crimson Tide own the top two classes in the conference, ahead of Florida, LSU, Tennessee and the Aggies.

Headlining Texas A&M’s class is Phenix City (Ala.) Central five-star wide receiver Cam Coleman, the No. 13 overall prospect, No. 3 WR and No. 1 player from Alabama in the cycle. Longview (Texas) Pine Tree defensive lineman Dealyn Evans and Silsbee (Texas) WR Dre’lon Miller are both top-100 prospects. The Aggies now have 11 four-star pledges to go along with the five-star Coleman. Ahfua is the fifth highest-ranked commit in the class.
