Texas A&M lands commitment from coveted Kansas State CB Will Lee III
Transfer cornerback Will Lee III from Kansas State has committed to Texas A&M, he announced on Sunday.
He’s a journeyman player at the college level. Lee began his career at JuCo school Iowa Western, redshirting one season before playing in 2022, where he turned in a tremendous season as a versatile defensive back for a good Reivers squad (it’s the IWCC mascot, means “River Pirate”). He even earned NJCAA All-American honors for his play in ’22 and parlayed that success into a spot with Kansas State this past season.
As a Wildcat this fall, Lee played primarily cornerback and totaled 42 tackles and six passes defensed while grabbing two interceptions and forcing a fumble and recovering a fumble. Will Lee was everywhere in that secondary. Now, he’ll head to College Station to link up with what’s left of a decent A&M defense from 2023, and what should be a sound unit again in 2024 in Mike Elko’s first season. Additions like Lee will certainly help.
