Texas A&M moves to No. 6 in On3 Industry Team Recruiting Ranking
Texas A&M continued its success on the recruiting trail on Saturday, as League City (Texas) Clear Springs four-star interior offensive lineman Blake Ivy pledged to the Aggies. The 6-foot-3.5, 280-pounder chose the in-state SEC program over LSU and Texas.
All three finalists received official visits from the lineman in June, but Jimbo Fisher, offensive line coach Steve Addazio and the A&M staff did enough to lock down the 20th commit in the Aggies’ class. The latest commitment also vaults A&M ahead of LSU for the No. 6 recruiting class in the nation, according to the On3 Industry Team Recruiting Ranking.
“I love Coach (Steve) Addazio,” Ivy said. “It’s always good to talk to him. He’s always checking up on my family, and saying good things. He’s always asking me about how I’m doing before he asks me anything about committing.”
Ivy is the No. 117 overall prospect in the 2024 class, according to the On3 Industry Ranking, a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies. He’s also the No. 4 IOL and the No. 22 recruit in the Lone Star State.
Aggies now own No. 4 class in SEC
As always, the SEC is littered throughout the front of the pack on the recruiting trail. The addition of Ivy gives Texas A&M the No. 4 class in the SEC, behind Georgia, Florida and Alabama. LSU and Tennessee also own top-10 classes in the middle of August.

Phenix City (Ala.) Central five-star wide receiver Cam Coleman is the highest-ranked player in the Aggies’ class, checking in as the No. 13 overall prospect and A&M’s only five-star recruit currently pledged. Longview (Texas) Pine Tree four-star defensive lineman Dealyn Evans and Silsbee (Texas) four-star WR Dre’lon Miller are also top-100 recruits.
Ivy joins a loaded class in the trenches as the fifth four-star offensive lineman to commit. Beaumont (Texas) United offensive tackle Weston Davis, Ivy and Seattle O’Dea IOL Isendre Ahfua are all top-10 players at their positions. Katy (Texas) Tompkins IOL Ashton Funk and Katy (Texas) IOL Coen Echols round out the room as the No. 19 and No. 21 IOL in the cycle, respectively.
A&M now has a blue-chip percentage of 70%, the sixth-highest mark in the nation. Ivy is the 14th player with at least four stars to commit to Fisher and Co.
