Texas A&M offensive lineman Kam Dewberry enters Transfer Portal
Texas A&M Aggies offensive lineman Kam Dewberry has officially entered the Transfer Portal On3 has learned.
Kam Dewberry played his high school football at Atascocita in Texas. There, he was a four-star offensive lineman in the Class of 2022, according to the On3 Industry Ranking. He was the fourth-ranked interior offensive lineman and the 63rd-ranked player nationally in that recruiting cycle. Coming out of high school he was a 2022 Under Armour All-American and a 2022 Polynesian Bowl selection. On top of that, he was a finalist for Greater Houston Area Offensive Player of the Year by the Touchdown Club of Houston.
Initially, Kam Dewberry went to Texas A&M to play for head coach Jimbo Fisher. However, ahead of the 2024 season, there was a change made to Mike Elko in that role.
As a freshman in 2022, Kam Dewberry made an immediate impact on the Aggies. He appeared in seven games and had five starts as a freshman. He would then appear in every game for the next two seasons while playing for Texas A&M.

The majority of his playing time has come at the left guard position. However, he has also made appearances at right guard, showing off some versatility.
The Texas A&M Aggies went 8-4 this season and had a chance to make it to the SEC Championship Game going into the final week of the regular season. However, a low-scoring loss to the Texas Longhorns took away that chance from the Aggies. Now, they’ll be heading to the Las Vegas Bowl to play the USC Trojans instead.
As a team, Texas A&M finished the 2024 season 22nd in the country in rushing offense, averaging 199.17 yards per game on the ground. However, they were also just 93rd in passing offense, averaging 203.5 yards per game through the air. On top of that, the Aggies were 59th in sacks allowed, giving up 22 sacks on the season or 1.83 sacks per game.
