Texas A&M offers 2024 EDGE out of familiar Katy Paetow
Texas A&M extended an offer to Katy (Texas) Paetow four-star EDGE Loghan Thomas Monday morning. Katy Paetow is the home of recent Texas A&M signees, Five-Star Plus+ defensive lineman David Hicks and four-star linebacker Daymion Sanford. It is also the current home of 2025 elite four-star cornerback Deyjhon Pettaway, a brother of Sanford.
Thomas is the No. 334 overall prospect and No. 20 EDGE in the 2024 cycle, according to the On3 Consensus, a complete and equally weighted industry-generated average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies. He is also the No. 53 player in Texas.
On3 rates Thomas higher than other recruiting services, according to the Industry Comparison. Per the 2024 On300, he is the No. 196 overall prospect, No. 18 EDGE and No. 38 player in Texas.
The 6-foot-3, 210-pound pass rusher now holds 10 offers. According to the On3 Recruiting Prediction Machine, SMU has a very close lead for his commitment at 22.2%. Texas Tech is currently second at 19.4%.
RPM was released to the public in December. The On3 engineering group teamed up with Spiny.ai to create the industry’s first algorithm and machine learning-based product to predict where athletes will attend college.
It factors in machine learning, social sentiment, visits and historical trends. However, expert predictions are still a big piece of the RPM equation.

More on Thomas and his recruitment
On3’s Sam Spiegelman recently named Thomas the top performer at the All-America Bowl Combine.
“On300 EDGE Loghan Thomas is next up for Katy (Texas) Paetow, which just graduated two of the nation’s best defenders at their respective positions in David Hicks and Daymion Sanford,” Spiegelman wrote. “Thomas arrived in San Antonio at a swollen 6-foot-4 and 215 pounds, and it showed with an explosive first step and consistent wins against an array of tackles in the Dome.
“Thomas was quick around the edge and also showed he could win going inside as well. He clocked a 4.7-second 40 time and also registered a 42-inch vertical. He’s a superb athlete flying off the edge. The top-20 EDGE in next year’s cycle seems poised for a breakout season and should draw the eyes of programs nationwide ahead of the season.”
The Aggies have three commitments in their 2024 recruiting class, ranking No. 17 in the On3 Team Consensus Rankings.
Thomas has an On3 NIL Valuation of $11.6K. The On3 NIL Valuation is the industry’s leading index that sets high school and college athletes’ projected annual value (PAV). The NIL valuation does not act as a tracker of the value of NIL deals an athlete has completed to date. It rather signifies an athlete’s value at a certain moment in time.
