Texas A&M offers 2024 On3 top-35 IOL Casey Poe

Lindale (Texas) four-star interior offensive lineman Casey Poe received an offer from Texas A&M on Thursday night. He announced the news over social media.

Poe is the No. 228 overall prospect and No. 17 interior offensive lineman in the 2024 cycle, according to the On3 Consensus, a complete and equally weighted industry-generated average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies. He is also the No. 37 player in Texas. 

On3 rates Poe higher than other recruiting services, according to the Industry Comparison. Per the 2024 On300, he is the No. 32 overall prospect, No. 2 interior offensive lineman and No. 7 player In Texas.

The 6-foot-5, 260-pound prospect has received 14 offers. According to the On3 Recruiting Prediction Machine, it is a close race for his commitment between Oklahoma (44.7%) and Texas Tech (39.1%). 

RPM was released to the public in December. The On3 engineering group teamed up with Spiny.ai to create the industry’s first algorithm and machine learning-based product to predict where athletes will attend college. 

It factors in machine learning, social sentiment, visits and historical trends. However, expert predictions are still a big piece of the RPM equation.

Regarding Texas A&M, the Aggies’ 2024 recruiting class contains three commits. They are Longview (Texas) Pine Tree four-star defensive lineman Dealyn Evans, Katy (Texas) Tompkins four-star interior offensive lineman Ashton Funk and Alpharetta (Ga.) Milton four-star wide receiver Debron Gatling.

Poe has an On3 NIL Valuation of $8.5K. The On3 NIL Valuation is an index that looks to set the standard market value for both high school and college-level athletes. The NIL valuation does not act as a tracker of the value of NIL deals an athlete has completed to date. It rather signifies an athlete’s value at a certain moment in time.

Understands leverage and wins at the point of attack consistently. Violent in the run game and plays with tenacity.
