Texas A&M quarterback Zach Calzada injures left shoulder against Auburn
Texas A&M quarterback Zach Calzada left the game against Auburn with a left shoulder injury, but has returned to the game. With less than 5 minutes left in the 3rd quarter, Calzada took a helmet to helmet hit from Auburn defensive back Smoke Monday where he appeared to suffer a shoulder injury.
Here is the video of the collision.
After the injury, Texas A&M trainers were seen on the field trying to pop his shoulder back into place. Calzada was in a visible amount of pain as they were trying to pop the shoulder back in.
It looked incredibly painful and it’s amazing Calzada has returned to the game. He only missed two plays in the game.
Freshman walk-on quarterback Blake Bost took two snaps before Calzada came back in the game with a harness on his left shoulder.
Calzada already has a brace on his left knee after he took a serious shot to his leg in the Alabama game.
Since Texas A&M’s starting quarterback Haynes King went down with an injury, Calzada has stepped up and played very well, especially in some of the biggest of moments (against Alabama).
One thing is for certain, nobody will ever question his pain tolerance the way he’s played through some absolutely excruciating looking injuries over the past month.
