Texas A&M remains at No. 3 in class ranking after Le'veon Moss commitment
Le’veon Moss, the nation’s No. 6 running back and the seventh-ranked player in Louisiana, committed to Texas A&M on Tuesday morning.
Moss, who is from Baton Rouge (La.) Istrouma Senior, announced his commitment Tuesday morning on social media. Moss had been previously committed to Alabama. But he backed away from his commitment to the Crimson Tide on Aug. 12. The decision to decommit came after Moss was on an unofficial visit to Texas A&M on July 31.
Le’veon Moss adds depth to A&M class
Intel indicated Le’veon Moss had been leaning toward A&M since he backed away from his original pledge. However, he was also looking at LSU, Ole Miss and Georgia.
The commitment bolsters what has already been an impressive stretch run for the Aggies. Even with the commitment, A&M remains as the No. 3 ranked class, according to the On3 2022 Consensus Team Recruiting Ranking.
However, the Aggies now trail No. 1 Alabama and No. 2 Georgia by only .0782 points. Alabama has 94.238 points, Georgia has 94.073 and A&M is at 93.456.

The Aggies have 18 commitments in a class that’s headlined by Five-Star Plus+ defensive lineman Walter Nolen of Powell (Tenn.) High, On3 Consensus five-star safety Bryce Anderson and five-star quarterback Conner Weigman.
Le’veon Moss is the lone true running back in the A&M class. He is the seventh-highest Aggie commitment. But he is a big piece in their hunt for the No. 1 overall class in the country.
To push past the Crimson Tide and Dawgs, Texas A&M will likely need to reel in Five-Star Plus+ receiver Evan Stewart of Frisco (Texas) Liberty, five-star DL Shemar Stewart of Opa Locka (Fla.) Monsignor Pace, five-star LB Harold Perkins of Cypress (Texas) Cy Park, or some additional top targets.
The good news is that A&M is sitting in good shape with most of those names.
