Texas A&M running back Israel Benjamin has officially entered the NCAA Transfer Portal on Wednesday night, according to On3’s Pete Nakos. Before joining Texas A&M, Benjamin spent time with Harvard. In 2024, he saw action for the Aggies against McNeese State. And in 2023, he did not see the field.

In the 2022 campaign with Harvard, Benjamin tallied five carries for 11 yards. He played his high school football with Saguaro High School in Phoenix, Arizona. While it is a loss for Texas A&M in the transfer portal, the Aggies have been making some serious waves, landing some of the top prospects in all of college football.

The Texas A&M Transfer Portal WR Class is impressive

First, Texas A&M landed Mario Craver, a former wide receiver for the Mississippi State Bulldogs. This year, he hauled in 17 catches for 368 receiving yards and three touchdowns. Before joining the Bulldogs, the Pinson, Alabama native was a coveted prospect coming out of the high school ranks. Standing at 5-9, 150 pounds, Craver was ranked as the No. 279 overall prospect in America in the 2024 cycle, according to the On3 Industry Rankings. He was tabbed as a four-star prospect.

Craver played his high school football at Clay-Chalkville (Pinson, Alabama), the same team that Alabama defensive back Jaylen Mbwake played for.

Texas A&M also landed Kevin Concepcion, one of the most coveted receiver prospects in the 2025 portal class. Concepcion burst onto the scene in 2023 during his true freshman campaign with NC State, finishing the season with 71 catches for 839 yards and 10 touchdowns — the most receiving touchdowns and receptions by a freshman in program history.

For his efforts, he was named the 2023 ACC Freshman of the Year. Additionally, On3 named Concepcion its True Freshman of the Year on offense. After a standout debut campaign, Concepcion took a step back in production this season. In 12 appearances, he amassed 53 catches for 460 yards and six touchdowns.

Then, Texas A&M also landed former five-star prospect Micah Hudson. Hudson, who signed with the Texas Tech Red Raiders as part of the 2024 recruiting class, was a Five-Star Plus+ recruit. However, he did not gain much traction in the lineup as a true freshman in 2024. He appeared in eight games as a freshman, hauling in eight passes for 123 yards.

Now, Hudson, Craver, and Concepcion will team up together with Marcel Reed at quarterback, forming what could potentially be one of the most exciting passing attacks in the SEC. It’ll be interesting to see how the pieces come together at Texas A&M. On paper, it’s always tough to project offenses with such limited time together, but the Aggies have a group oozing with potential.
