Texas A&M SG Bryce Lindsay enters NCAA transfer portal
Texas A&M shooting guard Bryce Lindsay entered the NCAA transfer portal. He spent on season with the Aggies.
Lindsay appeared in eight games as a freshman, averaging 6.8 minutes per game. He averaged 1.8 points per game during his time on the floor.
As a member of the Class of 2023, Lindsay was a three-star recruit out of Baltimore (M.D.) IMG Academy (Fla.), according to the On3 Industry Ranking, a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies. He was the No. 15 overall prospect in Florida, the No. 36 shooting guard in the class and the No. 170 overall prospect in the class.
Lindsay committed back in the fall of 2022. He was a big fan of head coach Buzz Williams.
“I chose Texas A&M because of Coach Buzz (Williams) and the staff that he has built around him,” Lindsay said to On3. “They believe in me and they have a plan for me coming in as a freshman next year. Me and Coach Buzz have built a strong enough relationship where I trust him with being my coach for the next one to four years. Just feels like family!”

The NCAA Transfer Portal, which covers every NCAA sport at the Division I, II and III levels, is a private database with names of student-athletes who wish to transfer. It is not accessible to the public.
The process of entering the portal is done through a school’s compliance office. Once a player provides written notification of an intent to transfer, the office enters the player’s name in the database and everything is off and running. The compliance office has 48 hours to comply with the player’s request and that request cannot be refused.
