George Turkson commitment to Texas A&M
George Turkson, a three-star small forward in the 2024 class, committed to Texas A&M, he told On3.
The 6-foot-7, 205-pound junior out of Lowell (Mass.) Bradford Christian Academy ultimately chose Buzz Williams and the Aggies over Northwestern and UMass. He also received offers from Ole Miss, Xavier, Seton Hall, and others.
Turkson, a native of Haverhill, Mass., broke down his commitment to Texas A&M with On3.
“I chose Texas A&M because they see the value and intangibles I bring to a team,” he said. “The coaching staff, their players, they all are great people inside and outside of basketball. I chose A&M because they appreciate the skill set I have and I am more than confident they’ll help me continue to grow and develop to become a complete player and winner, from a personal and program/school level.”

From his first visit to College Station, Turkson knew that’s where he wanted to be. “The day I stepped foot on campus, on my official visit, I envisioned myself being apart of the Aggies and making a difference there,” he continued. “The coaching staff, Buzz, Wolf, Rocc, and Bede have all been avid about me being apart of their program and contributing to the winning culture they already have.”
According to the On3 Industry Rankings, Turkson was ranked as the No. 106 overall prospect in the 2024 class. He’s also the nation’s No. 30 small forward and the No. 3 player in the state of Massachusetts.
