Texas A&M trending for 4-star IOL Isendre Ahfua
There’s a new top contender in the recruitment of Seattle O’Dea four-star interior offensive lineman Isendre Ahfua, according to the On3 Recruiting Prediction Machine (RPM).
While the Oregon Ducks were the favorite to keep the 6-foot-4, 285-pounder in the Northwest to begin his college career, it’s now the Texas A&M Aggies trending to bring the lineman down South. Predictions from recruiting insiders on Monday have vaulted A&M up to a 64.1% chance to earn Ahfua’s pledge, while Oregon is now down to 30.8%, with Miami a distant third at just 1.6%.
Ahfua took a trio of official visits to A&M, Utah and Miami, as well as an unofficial trip to Oregon in June. While the Ducks have received the most visits, it was head coach Jimbo Fisher and the Aggies welcoming Ahfua back to College Station for an unofficial visit at the end of July.
He told CaneSport’s Stephen Wagner in June that it was still ” too early to tell if any schools are sticking out to him” and that he needs to take more official visits to tell the difference between his top programs.”
ScoopDuck’s Justin Hopkins reported at the beginning of July that while Oregon was one of the first programs to make progress with Ahfua, the interest between the two may not be as deep as it once was. While the Ducks are losing steam, Texas A&M is making its push.

“Oregon was one of the teams to beat early on. But the two sides cooled a bit and Oregon has moved forward with some other targets. They’ve kept in touch with Ahfua however so there’s still a chance,” Hopkins wrote.
Ahfua could join blue-chip linemen in College Station
Texas A&M’s 2024 class currently sits at No. 11 in the nation and No. 6 in the SEC. The Aggies added four commitments in July, headlined by Phenix City (Ala.) Central five-star wide receiver Cam Coleman, the No. 13 overall prospect, No. 3 WR and No. 1 player from Alabama in the cycle. The class features 18 commits, 11 of which are blue-chip recruits.
Fisher and offensive line coach Steve Addazio have already loaded up on talent in the trenches. Beaumont (Texas) United four-star offensive tackle Weston Davis, Katy (Texas) Tompkins four-star IOL Ashton Funk and Katy (Texas) four-star IOL Coen Echols have all pledged to the Aggies. Davis is the No. 7 OT in the nation.
Ahfua would become the fifth highest-ranked commit in the class, behind Coleman, Longview (Texas) Pine Tree four-star defensive lineman Dealyn Evans, Silsbee (Texas) four-star WR Dre’lon Miller and Davis. He would also be the fifth pledge to rank as a top-10 player in his respective position, joining Coleman, Evans, Davis and Blountstown (Fla.) four-star safety Jordan Pride.
