Texas A&M vs. Wagner baseball delayed due to outfielder getting locked in bathroom
You simply never know what’s going to happen on a given day in the sports calendar. That’s part of the beauty of sports. Well on Saturday, we got a pretty hilarious moment in the Texas A&M vs. Wagner baseball game.
The game was delayed in the bottom of the sixth inning because one of the Wagner outfielders was locked inside a bathroom at Blue Bell Park, according to Carter Karels of GigEm247.
It’s certainly one of the funnier reasons you’ll ever see for a delay in a college game. But there’s been people stuck in elevators and weird situations like that over the years, so you truly never know what’s going to happen.
Texas A&M steamrolled Wagner to the tune of a 17-2 beatdown. The Aggies got 6.2 scoreless innings from Ryan Prager. They’re currently ranked the No. 4 team in college baseball and are off to a 5-0 start for the 32nd time in program history.
Prager fired a career-high 10 strikeouts in the win. He also only tossed one walk. Brett Antolick and Kaiden Wilson relieved him in the final few innings, combining for three total strikeouts. On offense, Gavin Grahovac and Braden Montgomery combined for seven RBIs for Texas A&M. Grahovac blasted the first home run of his college baseball career and finished with four RBIs, tying for the team lead. Montgomery extended his on-base streak to 33 consecutive games on Saturday night.

Montgomery has been one of the best players in college baseball the past few years and before joining Texas A&M, he was dominant for the Stanford Cardinal. Grahovac was rated as the No. 146 overall prospect in the 2023 MLB Draft, according to MLB.com, and brought plenty of hype with him to College Station. A Villa Park (CA) product, he played both catcher and outfield in high school, becoming one of the top prospects in America.
Hank Bard also blasted a home run on Saturday night for the Aggies. Texas A&M pulled away in the seventh inning, after they put nine runs on the board. At that point, the game was out of reach and by a large margin. Wagner still managed to put two runs on the scoreboard in the final two innings, but it hardly mattered.
Up next, Wagner and Texas A&M will face off one last time on Sunday, February 25th. That game will take place at 2:00 PM EST.
