The On3 NIL Valuation is an index that looks to set the standard market value for both high school and college-level athletes. The NIL valuation does not act as a tracker of the value of NIL deals. It rather signifies an athlete’s value at a certain moment in time.

The NIL valuation is comprised of a number of dynamic data points that focus on two primary factors – an athlete’s social media presence and their level of athletic performance.

A base valuation is generated from the number of followers on each social media platform an athlete has (Instagram, Twitter, and TikTok). Each platform is weighted differently based on the number of marketing dollars that brands and advertisers typically spend on each.

Here are the Top 5 On3 NIL valuations for commitments in the Texas A&M Aggies recruiting 2023 recruiting class:

1. DL David Hicks — NIL Valuation $321K

David Hicks is not only the highest NIL valuation in the class but is also the consensus No. 1 player in the Aggies class. As the No. 1 DL in the nation and a Five-Star Plus+ prospect, Hicks is among the next in line to be a young star in the Aggies defense. Hicks saw a rise of $70K in his valuation when he committed to Texas A&M. Hicks is the No. 14 ranked high school football player in NIL valuation.

2. S Dalton Brooks — NIL Valuation $177K

Dalton Brooks is another prospect who is at a disadvantage in terms of NIL due to where he lives. He does himself some favors with his performance on the field and having nearly 14K social media followers. His biggest growth could come over the next two months when his team, Shiner High, is in playoff. Shiner is attempting to go for a three-peat state run with Brooks right in the middle.

3. CB Bravion Rogers — $169K

Another top-100 in the high school NIL ranks, Bravion Rogers comes in at No. 63 overall. He has 14.2K social media followers, but has seen a $25K decline in the past month. Rogers is from La Grange, Texas, which is a small Texas town so he does not get the benefit of those who play in big metro areas in terms of exposure. However, Rogers is the No. 6 cornerback in the country and with a strong finish to his high school career, he can increase his NIL valuation.

4. OL Chase Bisontis — $164K

Getting highly valued as an offensive lineman can be tough, but Bisontis, the No. 3 interior prospect, and No. 1 prospect in New Jersey, has found a way. $164K is a highly respectable number and should grow in his time as an Aggie. If Bisontis can crack some playing time early in his career, he will have the ability to utilize NIL unlike many offensive lineman.

5. OL TJ Shanahan – $142K

TJ Shanahan is in a similar boat as Bisontis as an offensive lineman. Shanahan comes from a big time program in Austin Westlake and is ranked as the No. 7 interior prospect in the nation. With his size and play style, Shanahan is a good contender to become a fan favorite, which will raise his social media numbers.
