Texas A&M’s 31-28 loss to Ole Miss was gutting, but once again, the Aggies‘ true freshmen shined, including quarterback Conner Weigman, who made his first start and established himself as the starting quarterback for the remainder of the season.

Here, we break down the snap counts and grades for Texas A&M’s true freshmen on Saturday from Pro Football Focus’ (PFF) initial grades (offense and defense only), where a single-game mark of about 64 is considered average.

Freshmen on Offense

Conner Weigman – 75 snaps

The Cypress (Tex.) Bridgeland shined in his debut, completing 28 of 44 attempts for 344 yards and four touchdowns. He finished with a grade of 87.5, the highest grade in the FBS by a true-freshman quarterback in a single game this season with at least 15 snaps.
