USC transfer PF Rashaun Agee signs with Texas A&M

USC transfer power forward Rashaun Agee has signed with Texas A&M, On3 has learned. Agee spent just one year with the Trojans after previously playing two seasons at Bowling Green and one in junior college.
Agee also played two years at New Mexico State beginning in the 2019-20 season. He took a redshirt his true freshman season and was limited to one game due to injury the following year so did not lose any eligibility for those years.
The 6-foot-8 forward played in 34 games and made 10 starts this past season at USC. He averaged 9.4 points and 4.5 rebounds while shooting 55% from the field.
Agee had his breakout season at Bowling Green in 2023-24 to average 13.3 points and 9.9 rebounds per game. That earned him second team All-MAC honors that year and he ranked as the No. 81 power forward in the transfer portal that offseason according to the On3 Industry Ranking.
Agee is the eighth player that Texas A&M has added through the transfer portal this offseason. The Aggies have also lost seven players to the portal after coach Buzz Williams left for Maryland.
A&M is coming off of a season in which it finished 23-11 and advanced to the second round of the NCAA Tournament. The Aggies hired Bucky McMillan to replace Williams and Agee will hope to be a key piece of the rotation in the coach’s inaugural season.

The college basketball transfer portal officially opened for business on Monday, March 24, and closed on Tuesday, April 22. As of this writing, more than 1,100 players had already entered their names.
Last spring alone, 1,962 Division I players tested the portal waters. Based on the early numbers from this year, even more could follow. For the first time in history, more than half of the points scored in college basketball were scored by players from the transfer portal, not high school, in the 2024-25 season.
In data gathered over the first two years with transfer windows, the NCAA found most athletes enter the portal within the first four weeks of the portal opening. The study showed that 73% of men’s and women’s basketball undergraduate athletes entered during the first four weeks. That increased to 82% for men and 86% for women in 2024.
