Wade Taylor calls making All-SEC Tournament team 'a blessing'

Texas A&M guard Wade Taylor IV may have come up short in his quest to win the 2023 SEC Tournament. But the dynamic playmaker play excellent basketball leading the Aggies to the championship game.

For his efforts, he was named to the All-SEC Tournament team. Over Texas A&M’s three games, Taylor averaged 18.7 points and 3.3 assists.

The other players to make the All-SEC Tournament team are Alabama forward Brandon Miller, Alabama center Charles Bediako, Alabama guard Jahvon Quinerly, Missouri guard D’Moi Hodge and Vanderbilt guard Ezra Manjon.

“It’s a blessing,” Taylor said. “Thank my coaches and teammates for putting me in a position to show my talents and be the best I can for this team.”

It is the second major SEC award of the season for Taylor. He was also one of eight players named to the All-SEC first team last week.

The other players to earn a spot on the All-SEC first team are Miller, Florida center Colin Castleton, Kentucky center Oscar Tshiebwe, Missouri guard/forward Kobe Brown, Mississippi State forward Tolu Smith, Tennessee guard Santiago Vescovi and Vanderbilt center Liam Robbins.

Taylor is averaging 16.5 points and 4.0 assists on the season for the Aggies. Both stats lead the team.
