Wade Taylor injury: Texas A&M star guard complains about concerning ailment vs Texas
SEC play in College Station is starting with a huge rivalry game. Reed Arena is playing host to a renewed matchup between Texas and Texas A&M. The Aggies are off to a fast start in the second half, holding on to a seven-point lead.
But they are currently playing without their star player, Wade Taylor. An apparent knee injury has Taylor out of the game, being subbed out quite early. He was later spotted heading back to the Texas A&M locker room in an attempt to work it out.
“Wade Taylor IV just came into the locker room tunnel next to the postgame press conference room complaining about knee tightness,” Parker Rehm of FOX 44 said via X. “He said ‘It just feels like jelly.’ He sprinted into the locker room after getting it stretched out.”
Taylor likely wants nothing more than to be out there with his teammates. Emotions were running high for him during the first half, getting a technical foul. It’s one head coach Buzz Williams can work with though, coming after a deep three-point make. Some barking to the Texas bench was enough for the nearby official to hand out a tech.
Hopefully, there is nothing serious regarding the injury. Texas A&M is going to need Taylor back out there if they are going to earn a win against the hated Longhorns. And likely even more important to people inside the program, begin SEC play with a 1-0 record.

More on Wade Taylor, 2024-2025 season with Texas A&M
A lot of people were high on Texas A&M coming into the season and Taylor is a huge reason why. For a few years now, Taylor has been one of the SEC’s most electric players. Returning to College Station has folks around the program feeling like there is an opportunity to make a run in March.
Entering Saturday against Texas, Taylor led Texas A&M in scoring with 15.9 points per game and assists, dishing out five a night. Nobody has been more important to the program’s recent success than him and his play throughout the season has proven to be true once again.
Hopefully, the injury is nothing serious and Taylor is able to reinsert the game. If not, Williams will likely have a few questions to answer when speaking to the media postgame — win or lose.
