Texas A&M commit Walter Nolen put on a clinic Thursday.

The Five-Star Plus+ prospect out of Powell (Tenn.) High dominated his offensive line opponents during the drill sessions of Thursday’s practice in preparation of the Under Armour All-American Game.

Some of the offensive lineman he pushed around include North Carolina five-star signee Zach Rice and Texas four-star signee Neto Umeozulu.

Umeozulu was On3’s No. 2 performer during Wednesday’s practice session, while Rice was No. 6 on the list.

Nolen slotted in at No. 9 on the list for Wednesday’s practice. Odds are he is much higher Thursday.

“Walter Nolen may not have had a purely dominant showing on Wednesday, but he was still very good,” On3 Director of Scouting and Rankings Charles Power said. “Nolen had the second best day among Team Legends defensive linemen, after Bear Alexander. Nolen has a unique blend of size, initial quickness and fluidity of movement. He didn’t win every rep in 1-on-1’s, but Nolen has a different athletic gear than many of his peers along the interior.”

The On3 Consensus – a complete and equally weighted industry-generated average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies – has Nolen as the No. 2 overall player in the country. No. 1 defensive lineman in the land and No. 1 player from the state of Tennessee.

Nolen is one of five 2022 prospects rated as Five-Star Plus+ with Suwanee (Ga.) Collins Hill athlete Travis Hunter, Frisco (Texas) Liberty wide receiver Evan Stewart, Cypress (Texas) Cy Park linebacker Harold Perkins and Santa Ana (Calif.) Mater Dei cornerback Domani Jackson.
