On3 top-25 OT Weston Davis commits to Texas A&M Aggies

Beaumont (Texas) Beaumont United four-star offensive tackle Weston Davis has committed to the Texas A&M Aggies. He announced the news on Twitter.

Davis chose the Aggies over Alabama, Oklahoma State, LSU, Oklahoma and TCU.

The 6-foot-6, 280-pounder is the No. 134 overall prospect and No. 7 offensive tackle in the 2024 cycle, according to the On3 Industry Ranking, a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies. He is also the No. 26 player in Texas.

On3 rates Davis higher than other recruiting services, according to the Industry Comparison. Per the 2024 On300, he is the No. 23 overall prospect, No. 3 offensive tackle and the No. 5 player in Texas.

“The environment and the coaching staff,” Davis told Hayes Fawcett. “I like how it’s lot of doors that open when you graduate from there. Coach BGA and Coach Steve taking me and developing me and showing them how to be a man in life.”

Prior to his pledge Davis had visited Texas A&M twice. He was first on campus March 25 and returned on June 2 for an official.

With his pledge the Aggies now have 11 pledges in their 2024 class. The class ranks No. 14 in the country and No. 7 SEC.

He is also the fifth four-star pledge for the Aggies.

Their other four-star commits are Longview (Texas) Pine Tree defensive lineman Dealyn Evans, Blountstown (Fla.) safety Jordan Pride, Katy (Texas) Tompkins interior offensive lineman Ashton Funk and Bellflower (Calif.) linebacker Jordan Lockhart.

Davis currently has an On3 NIL Valuation of $93K. The On3 NIL Valuation is the industry’s leading index that sets high school and college athletes’ projected annual value (PAV). The NIL valuation does not act as a tracker of the value of NIL deals an athlete has completed to date. It rather signifies an athlete’s value at a certain moment in time.
