2025 LB Jonathan Cunningham commits to Texas Longhorns
Fort Worth (Texas) North Crowley three-star linebacker Jonathan Cunningham has announced his commitment to Texas. He chose the Longhorns over TCU and Utah.
Cunningham took official visits to each school over May and June.
He is the nation’s No. 423 overall prospect, No. 44 linebacker and No. 63 recruit from Texas in the 2025 cycle according to the On3 Industry Ranking — a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies.
Texas Class Breakdown
Four prospects joined the class in May, headlined by Shreveport (La.) Calvary Baptist four-star running back James Simon.
Simon is one of five top-200 pledges in the mix for Steve Sarkisian and Co. Texarkana (Texas) Pleasant Grove four-star athlete Lance Jackson and Saraland (Ala.) four-star quarterback commit K.J. Lacey are key members of the class. Houston Alief Hastings four-star EDGE Smith Orogbo was a major addition on July 1.

Dallas Skyline four-star linebacker Elijah Barnes committed in April. Other top commits include Tyler (Texas) Chapel Hill four-star running back Rickey Stewart Jr. and Calhoun (Ga.) four-star tight end Emaree Winston.
Port Neches (Texas) Groves three-star IOL Jackson Christian is a top-500 prospect who committed on May 13. Less than two weeks later, he was joined by twin three-stars Jordan and Devin Coleman out of Cedar Hill, Texas. San Fransisco St. Ignatius three-star John Mills is the No. 32 player at the position and pledged on June 24.
