3-star PF Jamie Vinson, former Vanderbilt signee, commits to Texas

Three-star prospect Jamie Vinson, an Austin native, has committed to the University of Texas and head coach Rodney Terry, he told On3.

The 6-foot-9 power forward out of Oak Hill Academy (VA) was previously signed with Vanderbilt but reopened his recruitment after the departure of Jerry Stackhouse.

Kentucky, South Carolina, and Rutgers were each involved prior to Vinson choosing Texas.

According to the On3 Industry Ranking, Vinson is the No. 206 overall player in the nation in the 2024 cycle. The On3 Industry Ranking is a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies.
