Lewisville (Texas) five-star offensive tackle Michael Fasusi has remained busy this month, working through a crucial phase in his recruitment.

The 6-foot-5, 299-pound trench monster logged his fifth and final official visit this weekend, making his way back to Austin to see Texas once more. The Longhorns are currently trending in the On3 Recruiting Prediction Machine and are looking to close on the touted in-state recruit.

Fasusi took to social media on Saturday, as he took a ride alongside Longhorns head coach Steve Sarkisian:

When speaking with On3’s Chad Simmons at the On3 Elite Series last month in Nashville, Fasusi updated his recruitment before taking off for what turned out to be five OVs. Texas has long been in the running for his commitment — and that’s thanks to the relationships that the UT staff have built with the five-star.

“I love Texas, man, I’ve been there a lot of times. They never fail to impress me and my family. It’s always love when we go down there, there’s never a bad feeling there or nothing,” he said. “With Coach (Kyle) Flood, I really feel like he’s one of the guys that can for sure get me to the level that I aspire to be at, which is the NFL. Coach Sark, he’s always texting me and my family, showing love with them, so I love Texas, definitely.”

Missouri, Texas A&M, Oklahoma and Oregon have also had Fasusi on campus for an official visit this month. Each program has made him feel like a priority and are keeping the foot on the gas hoping to land his pledge.

The Longhorns got to round things out and make a lasting impression heading into the rest of the summer, however. Fasusi is eyeing an August commitment ahead of his senior season, though nothing is set in stone.

“My number one decision is development, but at the same time you can get developed at a lot of places. I could go into any college and they could coach me to go to the league. So it’s just finding the right community, the right environment for me,” Fasusi said.

Michael Fasusi Scouting Summary

Fasusi is the No. 12 overall prospect and No. 3 OT in the 2025 cycle, according to the On3 Industry Ranking, a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies. He’s also the No. 5 player in Texas.

On3’s scouting and rankings team writes this of Fasusi as a prospect:

“Strong, physical offensive tackle with a high developmental upside. Measured in at around 6-foot-5 and close to 300 pounds prior to his junior season. Added significant size during the off-season between his sophomore and junior years. Has plus length for the position and a well-proportioned build. Registers as a solid athlete in the combine setting. Also showing encouraging improvement on the field as a junior, adding play strength. Latches onto defensive linemen and keeps his feet moving on contact. Gets a considerable push at the point of attack. Plays with an edge and works to finish blocks with authority. Shows good lateral quickness and plays with an improved base and balance.”
