Peyton Manning and Eli Manning were comfortable on camera throughout their playing careers and into retirement, whether it be interviews, commercials or the Manningcast. It appears as though their nephew Arch Manning has that trait, as well.

Arch Manning recently read mean Tweets for Complex Sports and responded to them, including being called a “nepo baby.” Manning didn’t take offense to anything that was said and had a hilarious response to being called a nepo baby.

“Yea, I mean, that’s fair,” Arch Manning said. “I do have a lot of football in my family, so it’s a fair comment. Freedom of speech.”

The Texas starting quarterback also read a Tweet that called him “the Bronny James of football,” and while that likely wasn’t a compliment, it didn’t bother Manning.

“I don’t know Bronny James. DMed him once. Seems like a great guy. So maybe that’s a compliment,” he said.

While there were certainly some mean Tweets, Arch Manning also received some compliments. One fan declared that Arch Manning possesses “previously unimaginable levels of Manning swagger.”

“I love that. I guess that’s a compliment,” he said. “Peyton and Eli didn’t have much swag, so I’m glad I get to up our swag in the Manning family.”

Another fan posted that Arch Manning looked like Ravens star running back Derrick Henry on his high school tape.

“I wish I was Derrick Henry. He’s a great looking athlete,” Manning said. “I also played against terrible competition in high school. Not terrible, but like, smaller competition in high school. So that’s not really saying much but thank you.”

Manning is entering his first season as the Texas starting quarterback after playing behind Quinn Ewers each of the past two seasons.

The former No. 1 overall recruit threw for 939 yards, with nine touchdowns and two interceptions in 2024. He also rushed for 108 yards and four scores. Manning started a pair of games when Ewers was banged up last season and was also used in rushing situations.

The Texas team will officially be his in 2024, and there are high expectations for Manning as he moves into the starting role.

With that said, he’s still clearly very humble, doesn’t take himself too seriously and isn’t afraid to make fun of himself. Fans may take shots at him due to his last name and connections, but he doesn’t mind and appears to be going with the flow ahead of his first year as the Texas starting QB.
