Arch Manning is not a big social media user. So when he does post, it carries some weight.

After Austin (Texas) Westlake EDGE Colton Vasek flipped to Texas from Oklahoma, the New Orleans Isidore Newman Five-Star Plus+ quarterback reposted Vasek’s commitment graphic on his Instagram Story.

But he also relayed a message to Denton (Texas) Ryan High five-star linebacker Anthony Hill Jr. and Arlington (Texas) Martin four-star safety Javien Toviano. He tagged both of them and urged them to stay home.

Hill decommitted from on Monday and has a visit scheduled to Texas this weekend for the Longhorns’ game against TCU. Toviano is also schedule to take a visit to Austin this weekend.

Hill and Toviano are two of the top commits in the 2023 cycle, according to the On3 Consensus, a complete and equally weighted industry-generated average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies. Hill is the No. 18 overall recruit and No. 1 linebacker in the class, while Toviano is the No. 41 prospect and No. 5 safety.

Colton Vasek joins Arch Manning in 2023 Longhorns recruiting class

Colton Vasek’s flip was a huge recruiting win for Texas. The Longhorns moved up to sixth in the 2023 On3 Consensus Team Recruiting Ranking after the decision.

“I’ve grown up a UT fan my entire life,” Vasek said. “When I went to see the OU vs Texas game as an OU recruit, it just really didn’t feel right to me at all. Deep down I wanted to be playing for the team wearing burnt orange. After that game, I really just started thinking about all of the opportunities and things I would have outside of football with being from Austin already, because at the end of the day I want to build my legacy in the state of Texas, and live in Texas when I’m older. Getting to stay close with my family was also huge for me. I know that I’ll always be able to get to them whenever I need to.”
