Arch Manning reveals he thinks his Texas student ID was stolen

Before Arch Manning could even get on the practice field, the Texas quarterback made off-field headlines. Keeping hold of his student ID was apparently an issue, going viral for losing it during his first few weeks on the 40 Acres. Turns out, people are quite interested in getting their hands on a Manning Texas ID.
“I went to Charleston last summer and I think someone stole my ID, actually,” Manning said recently at the Manning Passing Academy. “So, I don’t know where it is, my student ID.”
Manning stepped onto campus with a ton of hype surrounding his name. He was a Five-Star Plus+ prospect coming out of New Orleans (LA) Isidore Newman, ranking as the No. 1 overall player in the 2023 recruiting class according to the On3 Industry Ranking, a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies.
Even with someone like Quinn Ewers on the roster, Manning became a fan favorite. All while failing to see the field much as a true freshman and sparingly this past year. Yes, two spot starts in 2024 but Steve Sarkisian only put together a few packages for Manning once Ewers was healthy enough to play.
People still found a way to celebrate, and maybe even poke fun at Manning, in the stands. At one point, somebody brought a big flag of Manning’s student ID. Getting that into his possession may be a better bet than the physical ID itself.

“My mom sent me a picture of that,” Manning said. “Girl with the flag or guy with the flag. So, that was cool, was pretty funny.”
Manning Mania is only going to continue in the coming months. Texas kicks off the 2025 season in Columbus, going up against the reigning national champions. You know Ohio State is going to be ready to rock in college football’s premier nonconference game of the year. FOX will broadcast the game, with Big Noon Kickoff on the scene as well.
If the Longhorns can go into the Shoe and win, the hype surrounding Manning will only increase. There will be a lot more for him to worry about than the current status of his student ID. However, Manning does do a great job blocking out a lot of the outside noise.
At the very least, somebody in Charleston, SC, has a valuable piece of plastic. One that Manning needs a few states over.
