Earlier tonight in the Texas-Arkansas game, there was a controversial no call on a possible targeting penalty.

On a critical fourth-and-one with 6:18 left in the third quarter, Texas running back Bijan Robinson was drilled by Arkansas linebacker Hayden Henry

ESPN rules analyst John Parry believed the game should have been stopped to review the play.

“We are inconsistent with this rule,” Parry said during the broadcast after play continued without a stoppage for review.

Below is the video of the play in full speed, if curious.

Arkansas dominating Texas

Arkansas is currently dominating the 15th-ranked Longhorns in Fayetteville, Arkansas.

The balanced rushing attack of Arkansas has gashed the Texas defense to the tune of over 300 rushing yards on the ground tonight. The Razorbacks are currently averaging over 7 yards per carry.

It’s been a committee approach but Texas has simply found no answer for the many different members of the Arkansas rushing attack.

The Razorbacks have had five players with seven or more carries tonight, and four of those five have scored touchdowns.

Not only that, all five players have rushed for 49 yards or more on the ground tonight against Texas.

One of those players was Arkansas true freshman running back AJ Green, who showed off his 10.41 100 meter dash speed in the open field tonight. Green was ranked as the 101st overall prospect in the class of 2021 On3 Rankings.

A native of Tulsa, Oklahoma, Green attended Union High School. He chose Arkansas over Oklahoma, Oklahoma State, LSU, Baylor, South Carolina, and others.

Bright spots for Texas

While there might not be many bright spots in the blowout loss for Texas fans, they can appreciate the fact that freshman receiver Xavier Worthy hauled in two catches for 41 yards tonight.

Worthy was picked by many members of the media to make a splash in 2021 and while he hasn’t erupted yet, the talented receiver is progressing.
