Ole Miss improved to 16-5 overall and 5-3 in the SEC, ending their three-game losing streak. Texas dropped to 14-7 overall and 3-5 in the SEC. The Longhorns will play three of their next five games from home. They’ll need a strong finish in February in order to stay in the hunt for an NCAA Tournament bid.
Ole Miss has lost two games in overtime or at the buzzer in regulation during the past two weeks, so the win was much needed.
