After missing the quarterfinals last week, Texas OT Cameron Williams will reportedly be available for the semifinal on Friday.

Per ESPN’s Pete Thamel, Williams will be back on the Longhorns’ offensive line tomorrow in the Cotton Bowl after dealing with a knee sprain. Thamel explained more in a tweet on Thursday.

“Sources: Texas starting right tackle Cameron Williams is expected to return and start for the Longhorns against Ohio State in the College Football Playoff semi-finals on Friday,” Thamel tweeted. “He’s been dealing with a right knee sprain that forced him to miss the Arizona State game.”

This comes after an update on Williams’ status from Inside Texas after the team’s practice on Wednesday. Williams left in the team’s opening-round win in the playoff against Clemson with a knee injury. He didn’t put any weight on that leg coming off the field and would go on to miss the Peach Bowl ten days later with Trevor Goosby taking his place at right tackle.

Now, with him having since returned to practice in the last week, Williams will be back in the lineup almost three weeks later when the Longhorns kickoff tomorrow in Arlington.

Williams, a junior, has appeared in 37 games while on The 40 Acres, including 23 on the offensive line with most of his starts coming this fall for a unit that’s among the best in the country. With this, Texas’ offensive line will be closer to full strength again for their playoff game in the semis against the Buckeyes.

Cotton Bowl weather update: Ticket prices see major drop ahead of winter storm, per report

With a winter storm gearing up to hit the Dallas area, ticket prices have dropped for the Cotton Bowl according to Front Office Sports.

As of Wednesday afternoon, the average get-in-price was about $100 for the Cotton Bowl, FOS reported. The Orange Bowl between Notre Dame and Penn State, meanwhile, had a get-in price of approximately $200 on the secondary market at the same time.

The semifinal game between Texas and Ohio State is still kicking off on Friday night as of now. Both teams arrived in Arlington on Wednesday and held their scheduled media availabilities. Bowl officials continue to work with local authorities to monitor the incoming storm that’ll arrive on Friday morning.

“We continue to monitor weather reports, and over the last 24 hours, the forecast for later this week has improved according to the National Weather Service,” the statement read. “We have been meeting routinely with city officials, the Director of Transportation for North Texas and the College Football Playoff.

“Should the forecast shift, we are prepared for all contingencies. North Texas highways are already being brined and plans are in place to assure a safe environment for everyone in and around AT&T Stadium on game day. The teams arrive tomorrow, as planned, and the 2025 CFP Semifinal at the 89th Goodyear Cotton Bowl Classic will kick off on Friday evening as scheduled.”
