Four-star DL Brandon Brown commits to Texas
The Texas Longhorns are hitting on all cylinders on the recruiting trail.
A day after On3 4-star tight end Emaree Winston committed to Texas, the Longhorns have struck again in the 2025 cycle.
This time it’s on the defensive side of the ball.
On3 Industry Ranking 4-star ultra explosive defensive tackle Brandon Brown committed to the Longhorns Tuesday.
Texas defensive line coach Bo Davis was by Eau Gallie High earlier in December, as well as last spring. Texas offered Brown March 3 of 2023.
The 6-foot-1.5, 285-pound wrecking ball picked Texas over Miami, Florida, Notre Dame, Ohio State, Oklahoma, Tennessee and a host of others.

Michigan prepared to offer No. 1 recruit $10.5M over 4 years
All told, Brown has picked up 41 offers to date with Michigan being most recent. The offer list included Auburn, Alabama, Florida, Florida State, Miami, Michigan, Oklahoma, Texas, Texas A&M, Tennessee, USC, Penn State, Oregon, Ole Miss, Notre Dame, Ohio State, LSU and Georgia.
He made a number of unofficial visits during the season, including Tennessee, Miami and Florida.
The Space Coast elite prospect was dominant on the field as a junior for Eau Gallie. He posted 65 tackles 24 tackles for loss and four sacks in 12 games. In three years on varsity, Brown has recorded 155 tackles, 48 tackles for loss and 14.5 sacks.
Brown is currently ranked No. 283 overall in the On3 Industry Ranking. He also checks in as the No. 32 ranked defensive lineman and No. 38 ranked prospect in the Sunshine State.
