North Carolina DL transfer Travis Shaw commits to Texas
North Carolina defensive line transfer Travis Shaw has committed to Texas, he told On3’s Hayes Fawcett.
The 6-foot-6, 340-pound defensive lineman has totaled 55 tackles and four passes defended during his time with the Tar Heels. So he’ll be a productive piece that the Longhorns add to the interior of the defensive line.
Travis Shaw has spent the last three years in North Carolina. He played as a true freshman, appearing in 13 games on the defensive line as he logged 18 tackles, 0.5 tackles for a loss and two pass breakups.
His productivity would only increase from there.
As a sophomore in 2023, Travis Shaw appeared in 12 games and posted 11 tackles, 1.0 tackles for a loss and a pass breakup.
This season for North Carolina, the veteran defensive tackle logged career-highs in tackles (26), tackles for a loss (4.0) and fumble recoveries (2). He also broke up one pass and had a quarterback hurry.

Former Texas WR Agiye Hall enters portal
Former Texas and Alabama transfer Agiye Hall is back in the NCAA transfer portal, On3 has learned. Hall committed to UCF for the 2024 season but did not join the Knights program. He ended up not playing anywhere in 2024.
Hall signed with Alabama as a four-star recruit and the No. 37 player in the country in the class of 2021, per the On3 Industry rankings. He was also ranked as the No. 4 receiver in the nation and the No. 9 overall player from the state of Florida that year.
Hall spent one season at Alabama, catching four passes for 72 yards in 2021. Hall then entered the transfer portal and ended up at Texas.
During the 2022 season, Hall played in three games, catching one pass for 7 yards. He was not a part of the Texas program in 2023.
On3’s Matt Connolly also contributed to this report.
