Jordan Matthews On3 Scouting Summary
The following is the On3 Scouting Summary for Jordan Matthews:
“Taller corner with plus track speed. Shows strong recovery ability with his terrific long speed. Ran a 10.66 second 100 meters mark and a 21.29 second 200 meters time during his junior track season. Willing tackler that can bring ball carriers down in the flat and in the open field. Does a good job of defending passes and playing through receivers’ hands. Plays a bit erratic, needs to slow down and stay calm with his feet rather than being so jumpy when playing man coverage. Primarily plays off coverage at the high school level. Play speed as a junior did not appear to match his elite track speed. Father, Roshaun Matthews, played outside linebacker at LSU and Southern University in the late 90’s and went on to play professional football from 2000 to 2005. On the younger end of the spectrum for the 2023 recruiting cycle.”
