LOOK: Quinn Ewers dressed out for Texas, going through warmups
Quinn Ewers saw his game against Alabama get cut short, leaving the game in the first quarter. He was later diagnosed with a clavicle injury and expected to miss multiple weeks with the issue. However, he’s been spotted on the field at Darrell K Royal-Texas Memorial Stadium.
While it was just some light throwing, Ewers was able to get some reps in during warmups. He was not wearing a brace either. Now, the quarterback is dressed out in uniform before the game against UTSA, according to Joe Cook of On3’s Inside Texas.

“Quinn Ewers is dressed to play… but he’s warming up with Cole Hutson as the “fourth” QB/OC tandem,” Cook said via Twitter.
Shortly after, photos were released of Ewers in uniform and on the field. The Longhorn Network, where Saturday’s game will be broadcasted, Twitter account posted the images.
There has been no final word from head coach Steve Sarkisian if Ewers will play. The expectation is he will not as he continues to recover from his clavicle injury.

Quinn Ewers reportedly out for 4-6 weeks
Ewers is expected to miss 4-6 weeks with an SC sprain, a significant injury where the sternum meets the clavicle, according to ESPN’s Pete Thamel on Twitter. An MRI Ewers received after the Longhorn’s 20-19 loss against No. 1 Alabama confirmed the injury.
Before the injury, Ewers completed nine of his 12 passing attempts for 134 yards. Right before the hit that injured him, the Ohio State transfer was marching the Longhorns downfield into the Crimson Tide red zone to tie the game at 10.
Hudson Card would replace Ewers, though he was noticeably limping for the majority of the game. He finished the loss with 158 yards and no touchdowns and if he remains healthy will be Ewers’ replacement until he returns.
